Shepper was founded in late 2016 by serial entrepreneurs Carl August Ameln, Ben Prouty (previously behind disruptive start-ups Streetcar and Lovespace) and Jan Vanhoutte. In 2018 we raised $5.4M in Series A funding, led by Aviva Ventures, Norway’s Idekapital and Angel investors.

As an innovative Product specialist with 25 years’ experience in field sales and crowd industry, Chris has built, scaled and sold two community businesses within the last 10 years and brings a wealth of community-scaling expertise and Product efficiencies.
Lindsay joined Shepper as CEO in August 2020 after building a successful career in the financial services sector, holding leadership positions of Chief Marketing Officer at Aviva and Friends Life, and Marketing Director for both the Insurance and Commercial Banking divisions of Lloyds Banking Group.
Head of People
Ruth is a people-centric and culture focused HR leader, with 15 years’ experience in fostering and transforming culture, improving organisational design and implementing people-focused strategies across a range of industries.
Natalie is a talented financial professional with over 15 years of experience gained in technology, sport, and retail, supporting CEO’s and businesses. Natalie brings with her a wealth of knowledge in strategic and financial business development, both in the UK and Internationally.
James is a strategic and commercially focused technology specialist, with a background in software engineering and data architecture gained across digital, retail and multimedia brand industries.
Matt is a Partnerships specialist with 20 years’ experience of leading high performing sales and marketing teams in the Financial Services industry. He previously established the Strategic Partnerships division at Aviva and transacted a number of £100m+ multi-year contracts across a range of financial products.
